The Philippines logged 263 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, pushing the total number of active infections to 9,592.The low figure was due to the fewer number of tests received on Saturday, December 18, where 28,438 samples were reported to the DoH, with a positivity rate of 0.8 percent.
A total of 17 laboratories were not able to submit their data, four were non-operational and 13 were unable to report due to the onslaught of Typhoon Odette.There were 390 new recoveries and 45 new deaths.Hospital utilization rate is at 21 percent for ICU bed utilization across the country, and 22 percent in Metro Manila.
