MANILA — The Department of Health on Tuesday reported 1,314 additional COVID-19 cases or a total of 462,815 confirmed coronavirus infections in the Philippines.
Sixty-six new COVID-related deaths, the highest reported in the last 2 weeks, according to the ABS-CBN Data Analytics Team, were also recorded, bringing the total number of fatalities to 9,021.Of the 24,375 active cases, 82.6% have mild symptoms, 8.5% are asymptomatic, 5.7% are in critical condition, 2.9% have severe symptoms, and 0.31% have moderate symptoms.
The DOH said it had to remove 4 recovered cases from the official tally because of duplicate entries.“There were also 2 cases that were previously reported as died but after final validation, they were recoveries,” the DOH said.
