The Philippines and Japan ensured peace and sustainability in the Indo-Pacific region with the signing of their Reciprocal Access Agreement on Monday, officials said.“This is another milestone in our shared endeavor to ensure a rules-based international order to ensure peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific and particularly in our region,” Philippine Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr.
With the RAA, Teodoro said the Philippines is looking forward to more confidence-building measures between the Japanese Self-Defense Forces and the Armed Forces of the Philippines“We look forward to more confidence-building measures between the Japanese Self-Defense Forces and the Armed Forces of the Philippines and both our departments so that our shared vision and goals can be realized,” he said.
