The Philippines ranked 60th out of 64 countries in an annual world talent ranking, falling six places from last year, a report by the Institute for Management Development (IMD) World Talent Ranking showed.
The IMD studied the 64 economies by quantifying 31 criteria that highlighted each countries' abilities in terms of investment and development, readiness, and appeal.
The country ranked 62nd in investment and development with overall top weaknesses in total public expenditure on education, public experience on education per student, pupil-teacher ratio in primary and secondary education. Meanwhile, for readiness, the country placed 51st. The overall top strengths are labor force growth, skilled labor, and language skills.
