A total of 156 foreigners who worked for the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) which have been declared illegally operating in the country has been deported as of Dec. 31, 2022.

A total of 156 foreigners who worked for the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators which have been declared illegally operating in the country has been deported as of Dec. 31, 2022.

Remulla cited the Jan. 3, 2023 report of BI Commissioner Norman G. Tansingco. The report stated that “as of 31 December 2022, the BI has successfully deported a total of one hundred and fifty-six of the three hundred sixty-eight foreign nationals connected with operations against illegal POGOs in Pasig City and Angeles City.”

Of those deported, seven Vietnamese nationals left the Philippines on Dec. 16, 2022. A total of 27 other foreigners left on Dec. 21, 2022.
