THE Philippines supported a United Nations General Assembly resolution condemning the invasion of Ukraine.The UNGA on Monday held an emergency special session on Ukraine.The Department of Foreign Affairs posted on Twitter the Philippines' statement on the Ukrainian crisis.'Mr. President, the Philippines votes 'yes' to the UNGA resolution and expresses explicit condemnation of the invasion of Ukraine,' Manila said in a statement to be delivered before the assembly.
'In the current fog of lies, we have yet to determine the true casualties on both sides. We appeal for the protection of civilian and civilian infrastructure,' it added.The Philippines 'strongly urge the cessation of hostilities; but while an offense can be stopped at will the defense cannot rest until the offense stops.
