Nagsimula na ang clinical trials ng bakuna ng Chinese company na Sinovac sa ibang bansa para masubok kung ligtas at epektibo ito sa maraming tao.
Ngayong Lunes, umabot na sa 220,819 ang kabuuang bilang ng mga kumpirmadong kaso ng COVID-19 sa Pilipinas, ayon sa DOH. "Sa ngayon, wala pang sapat na evidence that would say na BCG would have this good effect for COVID-19," ani Vergeire. Inaasahan naman ng DOH na magsisimula sa Martes ang clinical trials para sa gamot na Avigan, na ginagamit laban sa flu ngunit nakita sa mga pag-aaral na epektibo rin sa mga may COVID-19.
