Steady growth
It’s that time of the month again wherein the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. and the Truck Manufacturers Association publish their sales report. It’s a good indicator of how the automotive industry is doing so far this year and, at the moment, it’s all about steady growth.
It probably won’t surprise anyone that Toyota, Mitsubishi, and Ford still occupy the top three spots. However, it’s interesting to see how brands have gained sales compared to last year and the month prior. So, without further ado, here are some highlights from this month’s report.The facelifted Isuzu D-Max will finally make its local launch on June 20Overall, sales grew by 14.1% year to date, an increase of 18,993 units.
Moving to the top ten, Toyota Motor Philippines leads the pack with 67,580 units, marking an improvement of 13.9% year to date and capturing 46% of the market. Mitsubishi Motors Philippines posted 27,828 sales so far this year with 19% increase year to date and an 18.94% market share. In third, Ford Philippines shifted 9,688 new vehicles so far this year to take a 6.59% local share and a boost of 20.1% year to date.Nissan Philippines takes fourth with 9,375 unit sales and are up by 10.2%.
