PETROGREEN Energy Corp. (PGEC) has secured National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) approval to connect the second phase of the 33.831-megawatt-peak (MWp) Limbauan solar power project (LSPP-2) in Isabela to the Luzon grid.

PETROGREEN Energy Corp. has secured National Grid Corp. of the Philippines approval to connect the second phase of the 33.831-megawatt-peak Limbauan solar power project in Isabela to the Luzon grid.PGEC said that NGCP issued the approvals to project developer BKS Green Energy Corp. , a unit of Rizal Green Energy Corp. that in turn is a joint venture between PGEC and Japan's Taisei Corp.

PGEC also said the project's first phase, or LSPP-1, had also received approval for a distribution impact study, distribution asset study and connection agreement with Isabela II Electric Cooperative .The company added that a power supply agreement for LSPP-1, signed between Iselco-II and BKSGEC, was now awaiting approval by the Energy Regulatory Commission.
