Datuk Peter Anthony telah memfailkan notis rayuan akhirnya berhubung sabitan dan hukuman penjara serta denda atas kesalahan menggunakan dokumen palsu untuk menipu kontrak penyelenggaraan M&E di UMS.
KUALA LUMPUR: Bekas Menteri Pembangunan Infrastruktur Sabah, Datuk Peter Anthony telah memfailkan notis rayuan akhirnya berhubung sabitan dan hukuman penjara serta denda atas kesalahan menggunakan dokumen palsu untuk menipu kontrak penyelenggaraan Sistem Mekanikal dan Elektrikal di Universiti Malaysia Sabah .
Pada 18 April lalu, Mahkamah Tinggi di sini menolak rayuan yang dikemukakan Anthony sekaligus mengekalkan sabitan salah, hukuman penjara tiga tahun dan denda RM50,000 yang dikenakan terhadapnya oleh Mahkamah Sesyen di sini. Mahkamah Tinggi bagaimanapun membenarkan penangguhan pelaksanaan hukuman penjara sementara menunggu rayuan akhir Peter.
