UPHSD president and NCAA Policy Board Member Dr. Anthony Tamayo and Franck Gusi , Perpetual Altas Management Committee representative, accept the elegant Best Performing Member School or the Overall Champion trophy from Dr. Vincent Fabella, Policy Board Chairman and Paul Supan, ManCom member of Season 99 host JRU during a simple program at the Casino Espanol De Manila in TM Kalaw, Ermita, Manila recently.
It was the second straight honor for the Las Pinas City-based Altalettes, who were also named the Best Performing School of Season 99. They also claimed the general champion of Season 94. The Junior Altas Tracksters collected 804.5 points in 18 events to claim their second consecutive title, while the Jose Rizal University Light Bombers landed second spot with 657.25 points. The Arellano Braves tallied 503 points at third place.
The Altas Girls’ Volleyball Team of coaches Jason Sapin and Sandy Rieta clinched the Volleyball Fiesta title after defeating the Arellano Lady Braves in five sets, 19-25 , 25-23, 24-26, 25-22, 18-16, in Game 2 of their best-of-three championship showdown at the Fil Oil EcoOil Center in San Juan City.
