PETALING JAYA: Perikatan Nasional has initiated legal action to sue the government and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) following the High Court's decision to free Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin of all his power abuse charges.

Opposition leader Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin urged the Attorney General to review all"selected prosecutions" against Bersatu and Perikatan leaders for the purpose of withdrawing them.

"The truth is finally on the side of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as Bersatu president and Perikatan chairman. "This tyranny needs to stop and I have also started legal action to sue the Malaysian Government and the MACC," he said in a statement on Tuesday . Perikatan had won 146 seats out of 246 contested, including making a clean sweep of Terengganu's 32 state assembly seats in the Aug 12 six state polls.
