COMMUTERS affected by road closures on Monday during the third State of the Nation Address of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will be offered free rides by the Philippine National Police .Public Information Officer chief Col. Jean Fajardo said that PNP's mobile assets will be escorted to pick up stranded passengers.Likewise, Fajardo said the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority will offer free rides to the public.
As part of the security measures during the SONA, the PNP will be using state-of-the-art, anti-drone guns that are capable of shooting down military-grade drones.According to Quezon City Police District director BGen. Redrico Maranan, the anti-drone guns have powerful specs and can take down almost any kind of drone.This is part of the no-fly zone implemented within a 10-kilometer radius over the Batasang Pambansa complex.
