THE director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency -National Capital Region was relieved from his post following the arrest of the head of the agency’s Southern District Office and two agents in a buy-bust operation in Taguig City last week.
On the evening of December 6, SDO Director Enrique Lucero, PDEA agents Anthony Vic Alabastro and Jaireh Llaguno, and Lucero’s driver Mark Warren Mallo were arrested in an operation conducted by the police in Barangay Upper Bicutan, Taguig City. Charges of sale and possession of illegal drugs have been already filed against Lucero and his companions before the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office on December 8.
