The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Monday hailed the recent conviction of three members of a prominent family in Misamis Oriental for possession dangerous drugs during the implementation of a search warrant in Balingasab, Misamis Oriental three years ago.
PDEA Director General Aaron N. Aquino expressed appreciation for the decision penned by Judge Gil Bollozos, Judge of the Regional Trial Court of the Cagayan de Oro Branch 21 on July 10, 2019 against accused Atty. Michael Roa, and his brother Porferio Roa Jr. for violation of Section 11 , Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002”; and their nephew John Rey Roa for violation of Section 15 .
To recall that on November 10, 2016, the Roas were arrested during the implementation of a search warrant served by elements of PDEA Regional Office X in Roa Street, Barangay 5, Balingasag, Misamis Oriental.
