ILLEGAL drugs worth P374 million are presented to the media before their destruction on Thursday, June 6, in a funeral home in Cebu City. The destroyed illegal drugs were P373 million worth of shabu, ephedrine worth P1.1 million, and marijuana worth P284,000.Margate said more illegal drugs will be destroyed in the coming days after the court has approved the destruction.
Allegations that seized illegal drugs are being recycled by law enforcers are baseless, Margate said. “None of us would be willing to go to jail. I will also be jailed if I allow that some evidence will be missing. It will be very hard for evidence to disappear while in our possession because we are equipped with security cameras that are being monitored by offices,” said Margate.
