The Presidential Communications Operations Office will have a bigger budget amounting to P1.63 billion under the government’s proposed national budget for 2020.The new appropriation proposal for the PCOO, the agency in charge of the government’s information and communication system, will increase from the P1.38 billion budget this year.
The PCOO proper will get the biggest slice of the budget with P439 million, followed by the Bureau of Broadcast Services with P392 million and Philippine Information Agency with P387 million. The PCOO proper will get P78 million in travel expenses, P21 million for communication expenses, P21 million for confidential and intelligence expenses, and P7.9 million for professional services.
