The Presidential Communications Office has unveiled its new official seal, which it described as a symbol of its commitment to the speedy dissemination of news and information.The PCO updated the profile photo of its Facebook page on Thursday morning, April 12.The new PCO seal will be in use starting April 13, 2023.

"Simula ngayong araw, gagamitin na ng PCO ang bago nitong opisyal na logo upang mas mabisa nitong maibahagi ang misyon bilang pangunahing ahensya ng ehekutibo sa paghahatid ng impormasyon sa publiko ," it said. The new official logo featured the sun and three stars representing Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, elements also seen in the Philippine flag.

In addition to familiar elements, the PCO's new logo also used a quill that symbolized writing and communication and a lightning bolt that represented the swift delivery of news.The new logo replaced the old seal used from 2017 to 2023 by the Presidential Communications Operations Office .The old seal featured a merlion surrounded by the sun's rays that shared the design of the rays in the Philippine flag.

The PCO, under the Marcos administration, is headed by Secretary Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil. Before becoming the PCO, it was called the Office of the Press Secretary.
