All 18 passengers of a distressed motorbanca that stalled off Iloilo were rescued on Saturday, the Philippine Coast Guard reported Sunday.

In an incident report, the PCG said the vessel encountered engine trouble in the vicinity waters between Carles Island and Gigantes Island around 10:41 a.m.At around 1:18 p.m.

, the rescue team on board two boats successfully located and provided assistance to the passengers who were all in good physical condition,” it added.According to PCG, the rescuers towed the distressed motorbanca to Barangay Lantangan in the town of Carles, Iloilo for needed repairs.
