Coast Guard personnel said a total of 50,973 outbound passengers and 48,694 inbound passengers were monitored across the country as of 12 noon, Tuesday.

The PCG also deployed 1,934 frontline personnel in 15 PCG districts and inspected a total of 380 vessels and 437 motorbancas.

All districts, stations, and sub-stations of the Coast Guard are on “heightened alert” to manage the influx of port passengers during the yuletide season from December 15, 2022, to January 7, 2023, the PCG added.
