PRESIDENT Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. wants to put premium on national athletes’ nutritional needs, Philippine Sports Commission Chairman Noli Eala said on Tuesday.
“I believe that’s a policy direction that fits with the direction the PSC wanted to take,” Eala said. In 2021, the PSC, through its Sports Nutrition Unit , started providing nutritional meals for athletes during their bubble training at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex and PhilSports Complex. The SNU offer daily online consultations and lectures for national athletes and coaches on their meal plans to other nutritional queries for their training.
