PRESIDENT Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will personally present on July 20 at the Malacañang Palace the cash incentives to more than 500 medalists in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games and 12th Asean Para Games Cambodia hosted last May.
The PSC will release P60 million and P14 million in cash bonuses for the SEA Games and Para Games medalists, respectively, as provided for by Republic Act 10699, or the Expanded National Athletes and Coaches Incentives and Benefits Act. Funding for the bonuses from the government was taken from the net income of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. that is remitted to the National Sports Development Fund of the PSC.
