The private sector called for the “strengthening” of government policies for niche tourism to help the country attract more foreign students and digital nomads.
It noted the country could be more competitive in education tourism through an application process, which is benchmarked with other Southeast Asian countries. It also made similar proposals to attract digital nomads or workers who utilize technology to work remotely simply with a stable Internet connection.
