President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. meets with King Charles III on Friday, May 5, during a reception for heads of state at Buckingham Palace ahead of the British monarch’s coronation.
“President Marcos’ presence in the Buckingham Palace yesterday and his attendance at the coronation today are all incredibly important signs of the friendship between our two nations,” she was quoted by state-run PTV in a tweet. Beaufils expressed gratitude to Filipinos who support what she called “a historic moment for the UK.”
“Thank you @QCMayorJoy for hosting our fabulous public screening of the #Coronation this evening and for lighting up the National Memorial Shrine of Quezon in red, white and blue to honour the occasion,” the ambassador tweeted.
