Individuals working in government agencies under contract of service and job order arrangements will receive higher gratuity pay this year, Malacañang announced on Friday after President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. signed Administrative Order No. 28.
Under the AO, the non-regular government employees are entitled to a one-time gratuity pay not exceeding P7,000 this year, depending on their length of service as of December 15, 2024.
President Marcos signed the order on Thursday. The P7,000 limit is higher than the authorized P5,000 gratuity pay last year. It shall be paid to qualified COS and JO workers in government not earlier than December 15.
