MANILA, Philippines -- Barangay Ginebra ended NorthPort's winning streak in smashing fashion, claiming a 113-88 triumph in Game 2 of their semifinal series in the 2019 PBA Governors' Cup, Monday at the Araneta Coliseum.
Ginebra had no intentions of falling behind 0-2 in the best-of-5 series, however. They outscored NorthPort 31-18 in the first frame, with Scottie Thompson's three-pointer fueling a 13-2 run that allowed the Gin Kings to gain separation. Stanley Pringle led Ginebra with 23 points on an efficient 9-of-12 shooting clip, along with 5 assists. LA Tenorio had 20 points, while Greg Slaughter produced 16 points and 9 rebounds. Justin Brownlee had a double-double of 15 points and 10 boards.
