PASIR GUDANG: The Pasir Gudang City Council (MBPG) has suffered RM250,000 in damages due to cable theft activities at the city's moon kite sculpture located between the Pasir Gudang Highway and Jalan Besar intersection (near the KPJ Pasir Gudang Specialist Hospital), here.
Pasir Gudang mayor Datuk Asman Shah Abd Rahman said that the council was forced to place a security guard just to watch over the landscape to prevent the activities from recurring.
"The first time that the cables were stolen was two years ago, one day before the handing over ceremony. "It would take less than a week for the cables to be stolen again after each repair. We even placed a security guard just to watch over that sculpture.
