Heads up Pasigueno seniors! The Pasig City local government will start distributing its annual Christmas cash gifts to senior citizens on Tuesday, Dec. 13, to Friday, Dec. 16.
Complimentary to the “Pamaskong Handog” food packs that each family in Pasig receives, senior citizens are also gifted with financial assistance worth P3,000 per person from the local government every Christmas season.
Senior citizens who claim their cash gifts through the manual payout must bring the original and two photocopies of their senior citizen ID. Unclaimed cash gifts in this rollout can no longer be given in 2023 because the budget allocated for the financial assistance in 2022 is only valid this year, the local government explained. The unclaimed cash assistance is liquidated and returned to the funds of the local government.
Seniors who just claimed their 2020-2021 Blue ATM cards this November will receive their cash gifts through the manual payout.
