The City Health Department (CHD) of Pasig City logged 302 active Covid-19 cases as of Tuesday, July 19, following the resurgence of the virus infections that is presently being observed in Metro Manila and other parts of the country.

Five barangays logged 20 and above active cases: Kapitolyo , San Antonio , Maybunga , Pinagbuhatan , and Manggahan .Meanwhile, Barangays Bagong Katipunan, Kapasigan, Sagad, San Nicolas, and Sta. Rosa had zero active cases.Around 1,608 individuals have died from Covid-19 in the city as of July 19. However, the uptick did not reflect a parallel increase in hospital admissions, according to the CHD.The Department of Health placed Pasig City under the moderate risk classification along with Marikina City, Quezon City, San Juan City, and the Municipality of Pateros on June 25.

Dr. Joseph Panaligan, chief of Pasig CHD, has previously stated in a text message to Manila Bulletin on June 16 that “the city government is ready for any eventuality in case there is a surge.”
