The Pasay City government launched on Wednesday, May 10, the "Barangay Labor Desk," an initiative for collective action to promote sustainable livelihood and improve the skills of Pasayeños. The launching of the Barangay Labor Desk, led by Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, was held at the Cuneta Astrodome, in coordination withRubiano said the program aimed to provide sustainable livelihoods toShe said it will also extend assistance to vulnerable households toward economic stability and improving the quality of life of city residents.

During the program, the local government also disbursed P3,000 apiece to 6,231 barangay officials amounting to P18,693,00 under the financial program in the form of allowances. Rubiano was joined by some city hall officials and the City Council during the disbursement of allowances of barangay officials.
