Ketua Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat (BBP) Tawau, Jeminshin Ujin berkata, kedua-dua mangsa yang dikenali sebagai Hernawati Juda,40, melecur di bahagian badan, tangan serta muka manakala suaminya, Mesran Lamalee,38, melecur di bahagian kaki.
Dalam kejadian kira-kira pukul 3.30 pagi itu, kedua-dua mangsa masing-masing cedera di bahagian badan dan kaki.
Beliau berkata, kebakaran yang berlaku di rumah mangsa berjaya dipadam menggunakan alat pemadam api oleh orang awam sebelum ketibaan jentera bomba.
