“My dear colleagues and friends, I would like to inform everyone that I tested positive for COVID-19 today,” Pineda wrote Thursday, September 3, night. Coronavirus infections have already been confirmed on several lawmakers and resulted in the death of Senior Citizen Rep. Francisco Datol last month. Early Thursday, House Secretary General Jose Luis Montales revealed that two more employees of the chamber tested positive for the dreaded disease, bringing to 64 the number of COVID 19 positive cases in the Lower House.
