Manila Water announced the implementation of service interruptions in several parts of Metro Manila and Rizal starting Wednesday due to maintenance activities.
According to Dano Tingcungco's report on “24 Oras”, the firm announced in an advisory that some areas in Taguig, Manila, and municipalities of Angono and Binangonan will not have water supply beginning at 10 p.m. on March 22 until 4 a.m. on March 23.
Manila Water explained they will conduct line metering, strainer declogging, and pipe fixing in the affected areas. “Ginagawa natin dito is to ensure all facilities are in good condition... para maiwasan ang downtime. Second, 'yung mga additional sources natin ng tubig given na tataas ang demand natin for summer. Hindi tayo kailangan maging fully-dependent on Angat,” he said.supply in the National Capital Region for the dry season.Latest reservoir water level of Angat Dam is 205 meters which is slightly higher than its traditional level of 192 meters during the summer season.
