State weather bureau PAGASA raised tropical cyclone wind signal no. 3 over parts of Isabela and Aurora as severe tropical storm ‘Nika’ slightly decelerates over the Philippine Sea.

As of late Sunday evening, forecasters reported that the aforementioned provinces as well as Cagayan, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Kalinga and Apayao are experiencing intense to torrential rains measuring up to 200 millimeters.‘Nika’ was last monitored hovering over Infanta, Quezon and Baler Aurora. It was moving west northwestward at 15 kilometers per hour with maximum sustained winds of 110 km/h and gusts of up to 135 km/h.
