A 66-year-old man has been charged with murder after a woman's body was found in northern New South Wales overnight. Officers were alerted to Holden Lane in Ballina where they found the 64-year-old's body, citing 'significant head traumas'. 9News MORE:
Investigations began after a man allegedly told officers atOfficers were at the home on Holden Lane near Cherry Street in Ballina within minutes, where they found the 64-year-old's body.Superintendent Scott Tanner addressing the media after a woman was allegedly murdered in Ballina NSW.
Superintendent Scott Tanner said the pair were in a relationship and were classifying the alleged murder as domestic violence."At this stage police are still are still searching the location but they believe there were no weapons involved."A 66-year-old man has been charged with murder and contravening an Apprehended Violence Order.It is unclear whether the man charged is the same man who went to the police station.
