The Parañaque City government conducted a motorcade around the city in celebration of National Disaster Resilience Month on Sunday, July 2.
Mayor Eric Olivarez said 200 stakeholders and partners of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office , city hall department heads and employees, volunteers coming from different organizations, barangay disaster risk reduction and management council, local police and personnel from the Bureau of Fire and Protection joined the motorcade.
Olivarez told the DRRMO team, under the supervision of Dr. Teodor Gonzales Jr.
The mayor added that the city government is also planning to build a disaster risk reduction and management training center where volunteers and DRRMO staff can hold some exercises to improve their response efficiency in any disaster.
