The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission said Sunday some of its personnel have received death threats amid its investigation into the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator hubs.“Well opo, kami ay nakakatanggap ng ilang mga pagbabanta. Pero siguro po naman ay 'yun ay mga pananakot lamang,” PAOCC spokesperson Winston John Casio said in a Super Radyo dzBB interview. Due to this, Casio said that they are always on the lookout for anything that may occur.
Several foreigners were also arrested following these raids. In light of this, Casio maintained that PAOCC is a civilian agency, and its personnel are only analysts and normally do not use weapons when conducting raid operations.“Bagama't meron kaming mangilan-ngilang mga pulis na kasamang aktibo, ito po ay mga intelligence officers lamang.
