Liberal Senator James McGrath says Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk spending $700 a minute on an invite-only Christmas party paid for by taxpayers is “gobsmacking”.

“This is gobsmacking – we’ve got a cost-of-living crisis here in Queensland, parents can’t afford to send their kids to sporting events on the weekend,” Mr McGrath told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“But the Premier, who is this princess in the tower, is, let them eat cake, while she spends $700 a minute on a Christmas party – this is complete and utter BS.”
