Malacañang is not keen on backing any possible impeachment complaint that may be filed against Vice President Leni Robredo, saying the Palace has other things to do.
Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo made the statement after Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission Commissioner Manuelito Luna said that Robredo can be impeached for supporting the resolution of the United Nations to probe the human rights situation in the Philippines under President Duterte’s drug war.
“If he considers the statement of the Vice President as… What does he consider it? Is ignorance of the betrayal of public trust? That’s my response,” he said. In a statement, Luna said that Robredo’s expression of support to the UNHRC resolution against the Philippine government may cause her to be impeached.
