The government has shut down 7,000 unauthorized online gaming websites, Malacañang said on Thursday. Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro thus said in connection with concerns related to online gaming addiction.“Ang problema po ngayon ng gobyerno ay marami pong illegal na gaming website at mayroon na po silang 7,000 website na naipasara...

Iyon lamang po, kapag po naipasara, mag-iiba na naman ng website,” Castro said at a press briefing. Castro was particularly asked about an online game, which she said was offered by a licensed gaming website. She said that there were measures in place to prevent addiction to such games.''Tandaan po natin hindi rin po tutulugan ng gobyerno ang ganitong klaseng mga problema at sabi nga po natin, patuloy po silang nagtatrabaho para po ito ay masawata,'' Castro said.
