The proposed P4.1-trillion national budget for 2020 will be used “productively and efficiently” and will be fully accounted for, Malacañang said Thursday.
Presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo made the assurance as the Executive branch called for the swift approval of the national budget proposal.
“Next year’s budget, which forms part of our continuing journey to a more peaceful and progressive Philippines, will sustain the significant strides we have made in the first three years of the Duterte administration,” Panelo said. Panelo also expressed hope that lawmakers would “review and act on the approval of our national budget with dispatch.” “The Filipino people expect no less from their elected officials in the Legislative Branch of the Government,” he added.
