MANILA, Philippines — Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) reported a net income of $137 million for the first half of 2025, a 12 percent increase from the same period last year, buoyed by strong second-quarter results and continued recovery in passenger traffic.

For the second quarter alone, PAL posted a $60 million net income, up 48 percent from a year ago, marking its 15th consecutive profitable quarter, which was primarily driven by higher passenger volumes despite softening international yields.Total revenue for the April to June quarter reached $831 million, a 6 percent increase year-on-year, while operating income rose 10 percent to $71 million.
