Itinigil ang naturang tradisyon ng penitensiya na dinadayo ng mga tao, maging mga dayuhan, sa Barangay San Pedro Cutud, San Fernando City, nang magkaroon ng COVID-19 pandemic.
Sa ulat ni Darlene Cay sa GMA News Unang Balita nitong Martes, sinabing magagawa na muli ng mga deboto ang kanilang panata sa taong ito gaya ni Ruben Enaje. Naghahanda na umano si Enaje sa muling pagpapapako niya sa krus na 33 taon na niyang ginagawa tuwing Biyernes Santo o sa Abril 7. Pinapayuhan naman ng lokal na pamahalaan ang mga dadayo sa kanilang lugar na magsuot ng face masks at patuloy na gawin ang social distancing. —
