The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines Medical Center (AFPMC) collaborated to build a new five-story dormitory to provide comfortable and supportive accommodation for families and caregivers of patients at V. Luna Medical Center.

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. ( Pagcor ) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines Medical Center ( AFP MC) officially opened a new halfway house for families and caregivers of patients at V. Luna Medical Center in Quezon City on January 24th. The five-story watchers' dormitory, funded by a P53.22 million contribution from Pagcor , boasts 35 rooms and 124 beds.

It is fully equipped with kitchens, dining areas, caregiver quarters, and other amenities designed to offer a comfortable and supportive environment for families with loved ones who are hospitalized. Pagcor Chairman and CEO Alejandro Tengco, who presided over the inauguration ceremony, emphasized the project as a testament to the state gaming agency's steadfast commitment to supporting the country's armed personnel. 'This is not merely a corporate social responsibility initiative for Pagcor; it is a heartfelt expression of gratitude to our courageous soldiers who selflessly devote their lives to serving our nation,' stated Tengco.Prior to the construction of this new dormitory, AFPMC could only provide a single-story resting area with limited ventilation for watchers, according to AFPMC Commander Brig. Gen. Jonna Dalaguit. With the opening of the modern dormitory, Dalaguit highlighted the significance of the collaborative partnership between Pagcor and the AFP, emphasizing the tangible improvements in the care and support provided to families of patients
