The Philippines Meteorological Administration (PAGASA) forecasts cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms across various regions of the country due to the Shear Line, Northeast Monsoon, and easterlies.

The Philippines Meteorological Administration ( PAGASA ) has issued an update on the weather conditions across the country for Thursday. The Shear Line is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms to the Visayas region and the eastern part of Southern Luzon. This could result in flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy, at times intense, rainfall.

The Northeast Monsoon (amihan) will continue to influence the rest of Luzon, producing cloudy skies with scattered rains and the possibility of flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rainfall in areas like Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora.Meanwhile, the easterlies will cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in Caraga and Davao region. Similar to the Shear Line, these areas also face a risk of flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rainfall. Metro Manila and the remaining areas of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains brought by the Northeast Monsoon. While these conditions are expected, they are not anticipated to significantly impact these regions. The rest of the country will generally have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. However, there is a possibility of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Wind speeds in Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, and Visayas are expected to be strong to gale-force, blowing from the east to northeast direction. Coastal waters in these areas will be rough to very rough. Moderate to strong winds, moving northeastward, are predicted for the eastern part of Mindanao and the rest of Luzon, accompanied by moderate to rough coastal waters. The remaining regions of the country will experience light to moderate winds from the northeast to east direction, with slight to moderate coastal waters. Sunrise on Thursday will be at 6:25 a.m., and sunset will be at 5:54 p.m.
