No tropical cyclone is expected to affect the country until weekend, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Friday morning, April 21. ManilaBulletin
“Wala tayong namamataang bagyo malapit sa Philippine area of responsibility. Hanggang matapos ang weekend ay wala tayong inaasahang anumang bagyo or low pressure area na makakaapekto sa ating bansa ,” said PAGASA Weather Specialist Benison Estareja in a public weather forecast.
Although the Philippines will remain cyclone-free in the next few days, scattered rain showers may still occur due to the prevalence of easterlies or warm and humid winds from the Pacific Ocean. Based on the state weather bureau’s latest weather forecast, this weather system is particularly affecting the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.Meanwhile, a fair weather condition with chances of isolated rain showers, especially in the afternoon or evening, may prevail in Luzon due to the combined effects of easterlies and localized thunderstorms.
No gale warning is in effect over the country’s seaboards. This means that fishermen with small fishing boats and other sea vessels are safe to sail.
