MANILA, Philippines — The low pressure area off Eastern Visayas entered the Philippine area of responsibility on Monday afternoon, state meteorologists said.

Aldczar Aurelio, weather specialist of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration , said the LPA entered at around 3 p.m.Pagasa update said as of 3 p.m., the LPA is located 1,000 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas, according to Aurelio. Aurelio said there is a chance that the LPA will become a tropical cyclone as it moves toward Northern Luzon.
