The state weather bureau PAGASA has issued a 24-hour weather forecast for the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) affecting parts of Luzon, with potential for flash floods and landslides in some areas.
The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will continue to affect parts of Luzon, as stated by the state weather bureau PAGASA on Tuesday afternoon. According to a 24-hour weather forecast , the Northeast Monsoon is expected to bring cloudy skies with light rains over the Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region.
The Davao Region and SOCCSKSARGEN will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). Across the rest of the country, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are predicted due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides are possible in some areas as a result of these weather conditions. In addition, the extreme Northern Luzon will have strong winds with rough waters, while Northern Luzon will have moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough seas, and the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
