MANILA, Philippines — Warm weather is expected nationwide on Thursday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration .
Pagasa weather specialist Patrick del Mundo said the hot and humid weather is caused by two weather systems — the ridge of high pressure area in Northern and Central Luzon and the easterlies or the warm wind blowing from the Pacific Ocean.“Inaasahan nga natin na dahil sa ridge ng high pressure area, ay bahagyang magiging bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap ang kalangitan dito sa may Northern and Central Luzon at mababa ang tiyansa ng pag-ulan at magiging mainit ang panahon.
