SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — While he seemed to favor the law raising the age of sexual consent from 12 to 16 years old, presidential candidate and Senator Manny Pacquiao on Tuesday said there are certain instances where sexual consent for younger teenagers would be acceptable.
At a media briefing in Porac before continuing his sortie here, Pacquiao cited the example of his sister, who got married at the age of between 14 to 15 years old.
"Ang ineexplain ko lang ang 14 years old, 15 years old, 16 years old marami nang kaalaman because of technology ngayon, high-tech na," Pacquiao added.
